Who doesn’t love New York City? This is America’s city and I love living here. No other place in the world offers so much possibility and opportunity and that’s why I live here. Aside from maybe London this is the financial capital of the planet. The lower east side of Manhattan is where I grew up and the place I call home. I have traveled the world and it seems that no other place has the same things to offer. The food, the culture, the people, and especially the night life. This concrete jungle is teaming with life at all hours of the day and well into the night. If you read the news reports or listen to the talking heads on TV you would get the impression that New York isn’t very friendly to tourists and outsiders. From my experience I just don’t think the stereotype holds water. I strongly recommend if your looking for excitement then look no further then NY. This website is all about helping startup companies move to Manhattan and build successful companies. In my opinion, there is no better place in the world to start a business. We have some of the biggest fortune 500 companies on earth residing in NYC and the amount of talented individuals carving our their share of the American dream is unmatched around the world. The biggest problem there is with startup companies moving here is the cost of living. Apartments in New York per square foot are some of the most expensive on earth for very tiny spaces. The reason for this is the city is so packed with people that it’s hard to find a place to live. In conclusion, if you can afford the cost of living and the cost to do business then I highly recommend moving the East Coast. If your budget is tight I would recommend starting your technology company on the West Coast in Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington. Take the Helm NYC will feature the best blogs about technology, business startups, websites, seo, and marketing.
